Giant Food stores are once again hosting their Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Essay contest, open to all Maryland students in grades 6-8.

This year's theme is "Making a difference - What can you do to help fight hunger in your community?" and submissions are being accepted now through December 31, 2011.

All rules and guidelines can be found at www.giantfood.com and two winners will be selected from each grade level with winners receiving a cash reward.

Winners will be notified on or around February 6, 2012.
