Area residents and businesses are urged to help support their favorite local nonprofit during this year's "Give to the Max Day: Greater Washington" event on November 9, 2011.

The event urges people of the Greater Washington area to sign on to www.give2max.org and donate to one of 798+ participating area nonprofits, then turn around and spread the word of the event using their favorite social media tool.

This event is cosponsored by The Community Foundation, Razzo.com and the United Way of the National Capital Area.
