SILVER SPRING, MD -- Listen to violinist Henry Plotkin honor “The Cellist of Sarajevo” at this month's Riderwood retirement community-Beltsville Library One Maryland One Book event:

A capacity crowd of  30 residents and the general public enjoyed Mr. Plotkin's performance of Aldonini’s “Adagio in G Minor,” the music played by the cellist in the book in the ruins of Sarajevo to honor the dead.

The Riderwood Village Square classroom was transformed to resemble a bombed out school room during the Bosnian War.

Beltsville Library Branch manager Barbara Spears led the two-hour discussion held under auspices of The Maryland Humanities Council.
