Jerry Trise, proprietor of a food truck Chef Driven and former executive chef at Yin Yankee in Annapolis, will prepare a four-course meal for New Year's Eve revelers with prices ranging from $65 to $100 a person, depending on the time of the meal and whether wine is included. The special dinner is billed as a "pop up" New Year's Eve, the Post said.
Trise, who is general manager Nancy Hart's partner, the Post reports, hasn't nailed down the exact menu items yet.
8407's owner Theo Margas recently fired the restaurant's longtime executive chef Pedro Matamoros, whose speciality was lamb Bolognese, Bethesda magazine reported.
Hart told the Post that she's interviewing replacements for Matamoros, but there's "no rush" to find "the right person."
Trise's New Year's Eve dinner service starts at 6 p.m., with a $90 meal with wine pairings, $65 without. The later dinner begins at 8:30 p.m. and will cost $100 with wine pairings, $75 without.
