Bethesda Police Station Deal Fizzles

BETHESDA — Developer JBG has backed out of a deal to build a new second district police station in Bethesda as part of a larger residential project on Cordell Avenue. JBG apparently will move forward with a modified residential project, albeit without the police station. Police: Suspect in Rockville Carjacking Also Wanted in Virginia Robbery

ROCKVILLE — Police believe a suspect wanted for a Sept. 27 carjacking in Rockville is the same person wanted for an Oct. 11 robbery in Alexandria, VA. Germantown Remembers Christina Morris-Ward

GERMANTOWN — Students, community leaders and loved ones of the late Christina Morris-Ward held a vigil at Seneca Valley High School last week. Morris-Ward, 15, was struck and killed by a car as she walked to school Halloween morning. "I miss her a lot and I wish she could be with me. But there's a lot of things that we don't understand, and death is one of them. Shoppers Pack H&M for Silver Spring Opening

SILVER SPRING — The line to be the first to enter H&M's newest DC-area store in downtown Silver Spring began at 6:30 a.m. on a cold Thursday morning. Jonice Childs, 24, commuted from Washington, DC, to be first in line for the store's grand opening, which began at noon and promised the first 100 shoppers special prizes and gift cards.
