Parents raised money for the school's new 40-feet by 55-feet climbing wall.
Students at Sandy Spring Friends School came back to school this winter to more than teachers and old friends--there was also a brand-new 40-foot climbing wall.
The wall, which was made possible by the school's parents association, is part of a new climbing curriculum for kids in pre-K to fifth grade.
"The idea here at school is for all kids to be active, not necessarily just in the traditional sports like soccer, baseball or lacrosse," said Sarah Margolis, a representative for the school. "Athletic activity can include all sorts of variety, including things like a climbing wall."
