Police Search for Colesville Capital One Bank Robber
Detectives released surveillance photos in hopes that the suspect will be identified.
Montgomery County Police are investigating the Wednesday robbery of Capital One Bank in Colesville. An undisclosed amount of cash was given to a suspect who implied that he had a knife. Police have released photos from the surveillance video in hopes that the suspect will be identified.
Officers from the 4th District responded to 13301 New Hampshire Ave. around 5:30 p.m. for the report that a bank robbery had just occurred, police said. Detectives said that the male suspect went to the teller counter and gave a note to the employee, demanding money and implying that he had a knife, even though no weapon was seen. The man left the bank on foot after receiving the cash, police said.
