Update, March 30: We have a favorite! Green Apple Deli in Colesville makes the best sandwiches in the area.
The newly opened convenience store and deli on New Hampshire Avenue was chosen by 17 readers, over 56 percent of voters.
According to Colesville Patch's food writer Phyllis Armstrong, the deli offers a variety of sandwiches:
The tuna, roast beef, Italian cold cuts and turkey are among customers' favorites. They can order the paninis on the menu, regular sandwiches or select the meat, cheese, bread and spread they prefer for a price of $4.50 to $6.50.
The sandwiches are made with a sun-dried tomato, garlic, hot pepper, mustard or ranch sauce, another Green Apple specialty.
Head to Green Apple Deli to try one for yourself.
Stay tuned for next week's poll!
It's week five of Readers' Choice and we've got a few words to throw at you: panini, hoagie, banh mi, po' boy. On Wonder bread, bagels, croissants, baguettes. We're talking about sandwiches here, and Colesville Patch wants to know who makes the best in our neck of the woods.
Here are our picks, but let us know who we left off!
To vote for your favorite sandwich, take the poll below. The poll is open until 9 a.m. Friday, March 30. Ties will be broken by whichever business has the most positive comments in the section below or in the reviews on its directory listings linked above.
Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.
