Silver Spring celebrated the official opening of the Ice Rink at Veterans Plaza. County Executive Isiah Leggett along with county officials appeared to cut the official ice skate laced ribbon.

Despite the cold weather and a little bit of snow many local residents came out to skate, enjoy free hot cocoa demonstration by Potomac Speed Skating Club, and a performance by DC Motors Band.

Skating Rink Hours: Monday - Thursday: Noon to 10pm; Friday: Noon to 11pm; Saturday: 10am to 11pm; Sunday: 10am to 10pm
