Silver Spring Man Found Guilty of Gang-Style Beating
Cell phone video uploaded to Facebook brought beating to police attention.
A Silver Spring man was found guilty Tuesday of organizing a gang-style beating earlier this year, according to a WUSA 9 report.
Tayshon Powell, 22, led a group in the county called the "Rolling Twenties" which organized a fight which harmed a local teen, prosecutors said.
The beating was orchestrated after a disagreement between the teen, who was assaulted, and another person who knew Powell, reported WUSA. As the argument intensified, six other gang members became involved, police said.
The fight took place at the 18000 block of Cottage Drive in Germantown.
Powell was convicted of second-degree assault and robbery. He faces up to 25 years in prison when he goes back to court for sentencing in December.

I pray that the victim will recover with no long term consequences and the
perpetrator might learn a lesson or two while he is incarcerated (sp).

I wonder how many of them attended Montgomery County Public schools? Apparently civics and civility is no longer part of the education process.
