Silver Spring Native Opens Potomac's Grilled Oyster Company

Co-owners Valerie and Rick Dugan are Montgomery County natives and plan to offer up Chesapeake-style fare.

Montgomery County's newest seafood joint is managed by a Silver Spring native, reports Bethesda magazine.

The Grilled Oyster Company opened in Potomac's Cabin John Wednesday, Sept. 5 for lunch and will begin serving dinner Sept. 11. Fare is described as "Chesapeake-style" with loads of shellfish: clams, crab, mussells.

Co-owner Rick Dugan grew up in Silver Spring and his wife and co-owner Valerie grew up in Bethesda, the magazine reports. They live in Gaithersburg now.

“We’re sailors. We love the Eastern Shore. Seafood is what we eat and what we love," Valerie told the magazine.
