Police say a 34-year-old Silver Spring woman hasn't been seen by family since Thursday, Aug. 30. 

Aster Solomon Gesesse,  of the 800 block of Houston Avenue, was last seen leaving her home in a taxi, but family didn't know where she was going and expressed concern for her emotional well-being, police report. 

Gesesse is described as a black woman, about 5-feet-5-inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds. Her family says she has long, brown hair and brown eyes. They don't know what she was wearing when she left her home.

Police are asking anyone who encounters Gesesse to call them immediately. If you have information on where she might be call the non-emergency police line at 301-279-8000.
