Hosted by the Silver Spring Citizen’s Advisory Board and Downtown Silver Spring, this event showcased about 20 restaurants that offered appetizers and small tasting plates for $5 or less. Among them were Jackie’s, Addis Ababa Ethiopian, and Ghar-E-Kabob. The event also featured musical entertainment, street vendors and an outdoor market featuring local businesses.

This event was an unbelievable success. I was shocked at how many people were out for this with it being its first year. Look forward to it growing and happening annually! Just be sure to coordinate with Taste of Wheaton next year and not have it be the same weekend.

I enjoyed myself tremendously. I think that banners on Colesville, Georgia and Fenton would have drawn more people. Something to remember for next year.
