Takoma Park resident Cynthia Joan Gastelle, left, went missing on April 3, 1980. Police confirmed her identity Wednesday after matching her DNA to skeletal remains found on Bull Run Mountain in 1982. Police say the man on the right is not a suspect at this time, but was known to date Gastelle around the time of her disappearance. Police would like to speak with him. He may go by 'Mike' or 'Michael' and was in his late teens or early 20s. He also had ties to Takoma Park. (From left) Max and his new sister Fiona. Max, a senior Pug, was found abandoned on the streets, starved and in need of immediate medical attention. Little Max had survived a very tough life, most likely the victim of a puppy mill or backyard breeder. But he still had a gentle, sweet nature, and a great attitude towards people -- and thanks to Mutts Matter, a dog rescue shelter in Rockville, Max was nursed back to health and eventually adopted by a family in McLean, VA. Journey's Crossing Church of Germantown and Food for the Hungry rolled out the Reel Water Film Festival last weekend at BlackRock Center for the Arts, where organizers hoped to raise awareness about the scarcity of clean water while offering practical solutions to the escalating global problem.
