Storm Damage in Colesville: Tree Falls on Car

The driver had gone into a restaurant minutes before to use the bathroom.

Strong winds and a reported tornado that passed through Colesville shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday left a trail of damage in their wake, including a toppled tree outside the Greek Islands Grill on New Hampshire Avenue.

The tree crushed a car, but the driver, who identified himself only as "CJ," was safely inside the restaurant when it happened.

"I can thank the man upstairs that my ticket wasn't punched yet," CJ said.
