WATCH: Inside the Ride-On Bus as It Smashed Into a Silver Spring Home
An investigation into why a Ride-On bus drove into a Silver Spring home is ongoing.
More surveillance video from inside the Ride-On bus that smashed into a home in Silver Spring last week is available. Video from the outside of the bus was released last week.
Police, fire and county officials are still investigating the cause of the Aug. 20 collision of a Ride-On bus with a house in the Hillandale neighborhood that left four passengers and the bus driver with minor injuries.
Four different camera angles inside of the bus show the driver appearing to lose control of the vehicle as it turned onto Avenel Road. Passengers are shown bouncing up and down in their seats as the bus drives onto the curb and several riders land on the floor as the bus swerves.
On one surveillance video, pieces of the home make their way into the bus, above the drivers head. Another video shows the front window of the bus smashed.
A spokesperson for county government said that the investigation of the collision is not expected to be complete before the end of the week.
