- Sophie Mittelstadt
- 8th grader at the Silver Spring International Middle School with 4.0 GPA
- Mittelstadt maintains an active schedule as a student, speed skater for the Potomac Speedskating Club and Biker for the Rockcreek Velo team. Recently, she earned a bronze medal in the Juvenile Ladies division the 2011 US Short-Track Speedskating Championship.
- She's also has a love for music and language. She plays the violin and piano, speaks french, english and is currently learning Korean.
- She aspires to compete in the American Cup.
