Obama Leads Romney By 22%, Cardin Leads Bongino By 20%

It is not often we get polls for political races in Maryland, but today we did get a new poll from the organization YouGov showing that both Barack Obama and Ben Cardin are well ahead in their respective races.

PRESIDENT - MARYLAND (YouGov)
Barack Obama (D-inc) 58%
Mitt Romney (R) 36%

US SENATE - MARYLAND (YouGov)
Ben Cardin (D-inc) 50%
Dan Bongino (R) 30%

The poll doesn't break down the states into specific counties, but assuming Howard County is included with the "Baltimore Suburbs, that portion of the state favors Obama 51%-40% and favors Cardin 48%-32%. Interestingly, even though it seems like his commercials are the only ones I ever see on TV, Independent candidate Rob Sobihani is not included as a choice in this poll.

When I heard yesterday that this poll was coming out, I was hoping they might have some numbers for the ballot questions, but it appears this poll was strictly focused on the races for President and US Senate.

This poll was done September 7-14 among 749 registered voters and has margin of error of +/- 4.2%.  Here is a link to the complete data tables for the poll and here is a link to the article at the YouGov website.

Soon, the media will be telling you that Obama is ahead of Mitt Romney by 110%. These article are simply a form of voter suppression.

It's interesting that there is 20% undecided voters in the Senate race but only 4% in the Pres race (I assume undecided voters are why those number don't add to 100%). Bongino could tie it up if he's able to capture the undecided voters.

I'm sure Cardin is a sweet old man but he has been in politics entirely too long and votes with the Senate something like 98% of the time. If you think our country hasn't done so well in the past couple years it's because of mindless partisan hacks like Ben Cardin. Maybe it's time for change.

Presumably a chunk of the 20% will vote for Sobihani (considering he's the only one bothering to spend $$$ to run TV ads, as far as I've seen). There's exactly a zero percent chance Cardin loses.
