Dance for PD - A unique program from people with Parkinson Disease and their care-partners.
In partnership with the Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area, Bowen McCauley Dance is the only dance company in the Metropolitan-DC area to provide Dance for PD-free weekly dance classes for people with Parkinson Disease and their care-partners. Lucy Bowen McCauley, BMD’s Artistic Director and founder, is “… honored to bring dance to people with this disease.” Besides the health benefits, dance takes the mind and spirit away from the thoughts of disease, disability and social isolation.

More About Maryland Youth Ballet
Maryland Youth Ballet is a non-profit organization that was started in a Kensington basement in the 1960s. It is nationally known as one of the premier classical ballet training institutions. It relocated to its current space in 2007. The new space is equipped with five spacious studios equipped with custom-installed dance floors, 16 inch ceilings, immense windows, dressing rooms, bathrooms, a comfortable lobby and offices.
