Do you know a talented child who is destined to be a star? Well, it’s “Lights, Camera, Action” for gifted children and teens on September 18th as Glynn Jackson the Agency proudly presents “Glynn Jackson’s ShowBiz Kids of the DMV Talent and Model Competition!” Exceptional young people in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area have a chance to showcase their talents at this family oriented event.

“For a number of years, parents and children alike have expressed an interest in being part of the ‘Glynn Jackson Experience’ which encompasses glitz, glamour and fashion,” Glynn Jackson, the owner of Glynn Jackson the Agency, said. “This show will give amazing kids between the ages of 3 and 16 the chance to share their talents with the world.”

“The response we have gotten about this show has been overwhelming," Jackson continued. "People are extremely excited to participate in a program that not only promotes gifted children but also helps to build both their self-esteem and their self-confidence with weekly workshops offered by the Agency.”

In preparation for the show, the Agency will hold workshops for contestants. These workshops will be taught by some of the talented professionals from the entertainment industry who traditionally participate in the Agency’s signature production, the “Golden Scissors Awards” – which is widely known as the “crème de la crème” of hair shows.

“Contestants will have the unique opportunity to work with world renowned wardrobe stylists, model coaches and make-up artists,” Jackson said. “This will truly be a life changing experience for many of the children who participate in this competition.”

The workshops include: “Breaking into the Modeling Business,” “The Art of Posing 101,” and “Customizing Your Couture Image - Becoming Your Own Stylist 101.” These workshops are not mandatory but are highly recommended for all contestants.

The winner of the competition will receive representation from the Glynn Jackson the Agency for a year as well as cash and other prizes!

Auditions, the workshops, and the show itself will all be held the Silver Spring Civic Building located at One Veterans Place in Silver Spring, Maryland 20910. Auditions to compete in the show will be held every Sunday at 2:00 p.m. There is a $25 application fee for contestants.

The show will consist of two parts: The talent showcase and the model competition. The talent showcase (the pre-show) will start at 2:00 p.m. This will allow participants to practice their skills and get prepared for the model competition (the main show), which starts promptly at 6:00 p.m.
