Silver Spring Green and Fenton Street Market are teaming up for the first-ever Silver Spring Green Living Showcase to be held on Saturday, October 20th from 10 am to 4 pm at Veteran’s Plaza in downtown Silver Spring.  This free outdoor event, which is part of the regular, weekly Fenton Street Market, will offer residents and institutions some real solutions to reduce their ecological footprint.

Over thirty businesses and non-profit organizations will be on hand selling green products and services and offering opportunities to enhance the local environment. There will also be demonstrations (composting, recycling, gardening and repurposing), musical performances and kids’ activities.  Be sure to bring family and friends to find out more information on clean electricity, organic bath and baby care products, environmentally responsible home remodeling and cleaning, solar panel installation, sustainable landscaping, electric cars, organic pet food and what local environmental groups are doing, how you can get involved and more.
