Branford Marsalis Headlines Jazz Fest, Man Pleads Guilty in Silver Spring Murder
Also: The list of participating restaurants in the nearby Taste of Bethesda next month is out.
Here are five things to know in Silver Spring on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013:
1.) Temperatures will be in the low 80s with sunny skies, according to The Weather Channel.
2.) Silver Spring resident Martire Omar Puente Fulcar pleaded guilty to killing the mother of his child by stabbing her multiple times. He also tried to kill himself by jumping off a Miami high-rise.
3.) Branford Marsalis will be headlining the 10th annual Silver Spring Jazz Festival this Saturday.
4.) The list of participating restaurants in this year's Taste of Bethesda, held on Oct. 5 from 11 a.m to 4 p.m., is out.
