Latex-Concrete Mix for Transit Center Fix, Don't Donate to Panhandlers, Hot Temps Continue

Here are five things to know in Silver Spring on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013:

1.) Temperatures will be in the low 90s for Wednesday and Thursday, but will fall into the 70s for the seven days after that, The Weather Channel reported.

2.) WMATA and the county's department of general services recommend using a latex-concrete mix to fix many of the flaws in the Silver Spring Transit Center. The project's contractor disagrees with the solution.
