Surprise guests at the Maryland Youth Ballet

SILVER SPRING --- Two local state elected officials will be participating in the Maryland Youth Ballet’s (MYB) Nutcracker this Sunday, December 22. Who could these lucky individuals be? District 20’s Senator Jamie Raskinand Delegate Sheila Hixson.

 

Both of these officials have been long time supporters of the MYB and are thrilled to be participating in Sunday’s matinee. They will be participating as party guests in the opening number of the show.

“This is a great way to not only support the Maryland Youth Ballet, but I actually get to be a part of the action this year”, said Hixson.

This is the 24th year of the MYB’s Nutcracker and has been voted both Outstanding Production in Classical Dance and Outstanding Youth Performance by

Metro DC Dance Awards.
