Cloverly, MD— Cub Scout Pack 442 will be hosting the first ever NCAC White Oak District “Take Flight Cub Scout Activity Day”.    The event theme includes the many different aspects of the flight process.  Cub Scout Activity Day will be hosted at Blake Highs School on Saturday, April 12th 2015, from 1 to 5pm. The cost to attend this event is 5.00 per participant, child 6 and under are free.  All are welcome!

Events include static displays of fire and rescue vehicles, large equipment displays, a hot air balloon demonstration, water bottle rocket and compressed air rocket launches, crafts which demonstrate how things fly, games, and archery range and hopefully a showing by the Med Star Medical Transport.  Food and Beverages will be available for sale on site.  Local Cub Scout packs will also be on hand to register boys for future scouting events.

The purpose of this event is for the kids and family throughout the area and from all income brackets to learn about scouting, to demonstrate the active learning unique to scouting and just how the Scouts can help them join in. For more information about this event please contact Todd Warwick, Assistant Cub Master at pack442@gmail.com or via phone (443) 864-2157.

The Cub Scout program is a fun and educational experience, concerned with values. The goal of Cub Scouts is to provide a positive place where boys can enjoy wholesome activities in a safe environment. Scouting focuses on teaching practical skills, improving physical fitness, building character and developing a spirit of community service.
