Frankenstorm: What's Still Open in Silver Spring?

Some stores downtown remain open as rain and wind pick up due to Hurricane Sandy.

Update, 6:49 p.m.: All businesses are closed except Masa and Asian Bistro, Downtown Silver Spring's Facebook page reports. 

Original story: There's a chance that any pre-hurricane cravings for pizza, lattes and hot and sour soup may be fulfilled—for now, at least. Downtown Silver Spring's Facebook page is updating regularly with business information. While many businesses have closed Monday, some remain open. 

The following stores are currently closed, according to the Downtown Silver Spring Facebook page: Chick-Fil-A, DSW, Bank of America, AT&T, New York and Co, Lebanese Taverna, AFI Silver, Adega Wine Cellars and Cakelove Enthusiasts.

Whole Foods Market Silver Spring has been closed since 12 p.m. FrozenYo will close at 5 p.m. today and tomorrow. Regal Cinemas is closed for the day.

The following stores were still open for business at the time of the latest update from the Facebook page: Z-Pizza, Starbucks, Washington Sports Club, Men's Wearhouse, Baja Fresh, Metamorphosis, Strosniders, Potbelly, Macaroni Grill, Eggspectation, Red Lobster, Austin Grill, Asian Bistro and CVS. , Many businesses will close early throughout the day, according to the page.
