Photo Gallery: Woodlin PTA’s 'Reduce, Reuse, Recycle' Community Service Day

Donation event collected items for six local and global charities.

The community came out in full force to support PTA’s Reduce, Reuse, Recycle for Community Service Day last Saturday.

The event collected items for local as well as global charitable organizations, in commemoration of Montgomery County's Community Service Day. This is the third year that Woodlin, a Maryland-certified "green school” has produced a "green" event for the annual service day.The event collected items for local as well as global charitable organizations, in commemoration of Montgomery County's Community Service Day. Donated items ranged from pots and pans and clothing to hammers and nails for building, as well as Halloween costumes and candy for children. Volunteers rounded up a total of 53 bicycles, donated for Bikes for the World, to be shipped to Guatemala to assist teens and families with transportation.
