Whole Foods Market's Chef Egg Visits with Troops
Chef Egg has taught cooking rehabilitation with wounded soldiers at Walter Reed Hospital for more than 3 years.
In partnership with the Armed Force Entertainment and Whole Foods Market, Erik “Chef Egg” Berlin recently toured Cairo, Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) North Camp and MFO South Camp, Egypt.
Often military families are faced with obstacles such as access and availability to fresh produce and resources, time constraints, and how to best optimize local cuisines and foods.
While he was in Egypt, he showed troops easy to prepare recipes and culinary techniques to understanding nutrition and waste management, and the difference between natural, organic, conventional and gluten free products while partaking in delectable dishes.
