1. Today should be mostly sunny with temperatures reaching a high near 50 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Later on this evening, the temperatures should drop to the low 30s.

3. Can't adopt a pet this holiday but still willing to donate? Montgomery County Animal Shelter welcomes you to spend a "Holiday with the Shelter Dogs." You can help the humane society volunteer dog walkers by making wish list donations through December 20.

4. Women, Wine and Art Making Workshops at the Create Arts Center. Enjoy time with the ladies of Silver Spring Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. Bring your bottle and the arts center will provide light refreshments. The cost is $30.
