Silverdocs Concludes Sunday

Montgomery County Heritage Days Weekend
MONTGOMERY COUNTY — Activities featured at historic sites throughout Montgomery County. Montgomery County Heritage Days, noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 23, and Sunday, June 24. Free. The full schedule is available online, at Heritage Montgomery’s website.

George Clinton Brings the Funk to Folklife
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Funk ambassador George Clinton opens the Smithsonian Folklife Festival’s evening concert series with a free show. 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, on the National Mall. Free. Also performing: Meshell Ndegeocello and Ivan Neville and Dumpstaphunk. Popular radio personality Tom Joyner hosts. The 2012 Smithsonian Folklife Festival is June 27–July 1 and July 4–8.
