My top 5 events in Silver Spring!

This weekend there will be a lot of events you can be a part of. Here is a list of my top events to participate in:

1. Enjoy dinner and concert with Classical Guitarist from Chile Carlos Perez will perform at Westmoreland Congregational United Church of Christ.  The performance on Sat. Nov. 13 starts at 8 p.m. 

2.  Appreciation for hand made jewelry goes a long way at the Pleiades 25th Annual Jewelry Show and Sale.  The show starts Sat. Nov. 13 with artists who sell their work independently in galleries and teach classes and workshops.

3.  Interested in learning about "Ten Reasons Children Don't Succeed....and Eleven Things Parents Can Do?" Join the workshop at . The workshop will explore how to apply logical consequences, encourage social responsibility, and how to use basic communications skills and family meetings as alternatives that will build a foundation of cooperation and mutual respect in the family. 4. Be a part of the 5k race downtown Silver Spring Sunday, Nov. 14. There will be about 1,000 young ladies running in the race for Girls on the Run. The ladies will take off around 9 a.m.

5.  There will plenty of fun for your family and friends this Sat. Nov. 13 at Northwood High School's drumline competition. Teens from Montgomery County and surrounding counties' high schools compete for the best rhythm, timing and overall performance.  The event starts at 4:30pm located at  David J. Kaplan Stadium (behind Northwood High School ).  Costs for admission:  $10 adults, $8 students, kids under 5 free.
