Family Pottery II (ages 6+)

This class is an artistic exploration for the family and adult participation is required. Dig in with both hands into the methods of clay construction; pinch, coil and slab. Students will create both sculpture and pottery and explore decorative techniques including glaze application, water-on-clay color, and other unusual finishes. Projects are fired in a kiln on our premises and students will take home several finished pieces. Parents and children may work on projects together or independently. Younger students will need help and supervision from the parent, while the teacher helps the parent to help the child.
