Romeo and Juliet

The Blake High School Stage Company is proud to announce our presentation of William Shakespeare's
classic romantic tragedy, ROMEO AND JULIET on March 16, 17, 23, and 24 at 7:30 pm.

The story of  ROMEO AND JULIET is one of theatre's lasting tales. Two young teens from warring families fall in love and break all societal rules to remain together. Our story features a modernized twist as we move Verona to a New York-style city called Verona Beach and modernize the play into modern cultures. In fact, the warring families, the Capulets and the Montagues are actually two clothing/fashion houses that are competing for the wealth of the city.

To modernize the play, we have added contemporary music from today’s hits and celebrities including the music of Lady Gaga and Adele as well as various hip-hop artists.

Ticket prices are $10 for general admission and Reserved
Seating is $13 and may be purchased at the Blake cafeteria beginning March 12th from 10:30 am – 1 pm. Tickets will also be sold at the door for the same price.
