"Speak Your Soul!" Community Bridges 4th Annual Step Up! Summit

Please mark your calendars! Our 4th Annual Step Up! Summit "Speak Your Soul"  is fast approaching and we want YOU to be a part of it! This is one event that you do not want to miss. Each year, our annual Youth Summit brings together girls, boys, parents, administrators and the larger community to address the most pertinent issues facing our youth in their schools, families and communities. In our work with over 250 girls at 17 different schools, we often hear their difficult stories of having their voices suppressed, ignored or even silenced by many around them. So this year, our "Speak Your Soul" summit will not only provide youth with an opportunity to share the numerous stories that they have about their identities and life experiences, but also to find healing and be empowered to overcome barriers through interactive arts-based workshops.

The "Speak Your Soul" Summit is:

• Saturday, March 12th from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Montgomery College-Takoma Park Campus
  
• Absolutely free! There will be FREE food and prizes and interactive workshops such as dance, theatre, music production and puppetry
• Open to youth 4th grade and up as well as parents, teachers, and community members
