3. ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT: BETTY MAE KRAMER GALLERY

Where/When: Come and visit the Silver Spring Civic Center anytime from 9am-5pm
Why Go: The exhibit, "Mixing It Up," showcases the work of three Montgomery County artists who work in a variety of different media: glass artist Kari Minnic; painter Shanti Chandra-Sekar; and fiber artist Karen Schulz.

5. WASHINGTON MUSICA VIVA CLASSICAL CONCERT

Where/When: Silver Spring Civic Center, One Veterans Place on Friday, Feb. 18 at 7:30 p.m
Why Go: Enjoy Violinist Kathy Judd, clarinetist Ben Redwine and pianist Carl Banner performing pieces by Mozart and others.

Where/When: The new AT&T Store on the corner of Georgia Ave. and Ellsworth on Saturday, Feb. 19 from 12 p.m to 2 p.m.
