Preview: 21 Pun Salute Helps to Fund Wounded Soldiers

Local newscasters join in to help raise money for wounded soldiers at Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center.

The famed Hexagon satirical show, with media celebs in key roles, is coming to Silver Spring this year with the opening night set for Fri., March 18 at the Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center. This year’s show is called "A 21-Pun Salute" and all proceeds will go to the Wounded Warrior Project. It's a charity that helps soldiers with physical rehabilitation and and mental care. 

Special guests on opening night features Jim Bohannon, syndicated talk show host on Westwood Radio whose radio program is heard nationwide, Lanny Davis, CNN commentator, columnist for the Hill newspaper and former White House special counsel to former President Clinton.

Weekend show prices are $30 for orchestra and $25 balcony seats with Thursday night performances at slightly lower prices. Other media guests lined up so far are sportswriter Christine Brennan of USA Today, Bob Madigan  of WTOP’s Man About Town and Bob Ryan, well known weatherman on WJLA Channel 7 and Lisa Berigan of Big 103.7 radio. The shows will run through April 9.
