Paperless Airplane Flies Again:

Our county's most comprehensive newsletter, The PaperLess Airplane, has released its newest issue. This simple, easy to read, link-rich newsletter provides a wealth of information for many county-wide issues, celebrations, and general civic news. It also highlights regional and local news. For example, this issue has a write up on our Fenton Street Market (and how to sign up for their e-mail.) Don't let The PaperLess Airplane take off without you!

HAVE YOU VISITED MC311 LATELY?

You know you can call 311 with your county questions anytime. But, have you visited their web-site lately? It has a user-friendly interface to do all you can do when you call 311 - and much more. It also provides basic information on County services in an easy-to-navigate format.

FROM OUR FRIENDS AT CHEER:

In the last several months Community Health and Empowerment through Education and Research (CHEER) conducted a process to identify high priority community goals and help facilitate the means of addressing them.

The Takoma Park/Long Branch Economic Empowerment Coalition has been formed and a place-based health collaboration is seeking to make Takoma Park/Long Branch a Health Enterprise Zone. CHEER also continues to engage members of the community to measure and improve current conditions through community events, showings and discussions of the film "Unnatural Causes", and sponsoring a Local Resilience Circle.  See below for more details on CHEER's recent activities.
