Will you be there at midnight? Do you have your tickets for the IMAX show? Let us know in our poll and in the comments section.

The newest Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises, premieres Thursday at midnight across the country, and it seems fans are eagerly anticipating its arrival.

The theater in Silver Spring is already sold out for their IMAX show at midnight on Thursday, July 19, according to Melvina Braganza, an employee with the theater.

She said the theater decided to open a 3:20 a.m. showing in IMAX for opening night due to the popularity of the film, and so far, 65 seats to that showing have been sold.

If you don’t find the idea of an $18.50 IMAX ticket appealing, you’re not the only one.

Braganza said the Silver Spring theater’s regular, non-IMAX midnight showing on Thursday sold out, so the theater opened three more midnight shows that are selling quickly.

The AMC Loews Center Park 8 theater in Beltsville is offering three midnight show times on Thursday, and the Regal Hyattsville Royale 14 is offering just one, though neither has an IMAX theater. Tickets are not yet sold out for those theaters.

Tickets for the non-IMAX shows at these theaters range from $6 to $9 for children and seniors and from $9 to $11.50 for adults.

However, many seem to find the IMAX experience worth the extra dollars—the midnight IMAX showing at the AMC Loews Georgetown 14 is sold out for opening night, as are the 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. IMAX shows for Friday, July 20.

Will you be in line on opening night to see The Dark Knight Rises?Where—and will you be in costume? Is it worth it to see it in IMAX?
