You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Silver Spring Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:

With a friendly wait staff, the usual diner breakfast offerings, relatively cheap prices, and the casual ambience of an old school joint, Nick's is a great low-key breakfast destination.
Located in Wheaton's main drag, there is plenty of on-street parking. Also, Nick's is a great place to bring the little ones should a family outing be in the plans one weekend morning.

So come here expecting the classic breakfast, and you'll leave pleased and ready to tackle the day. But leave time for a post-meal bacon-induced siesta. If you order breakfast like I do, it will probably be necessary.
