Discovery Celebrates Auto Network With Classic Car Show in Silver Spring

Carlovers in Silver Spring, take note: Discovery Communications is rolling out the best of the car world to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Velocity, their automotive television network. 

Expect 40 different classic and high-end cars on display at the company's headquarters in downtown Silver Spring Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

“Velocity was created with the car connoisseur in mind,” said Bob Scanlon, senior vice-president of Velocity. “As we celebrate our first year on-air, we pledge to continue to deliver the best in automotive programming with shows that really resonates with our passionate audience.” 

Anyone can drop by and chat with car experts and take part in giveaways.
