It's that time of year again.
One of the only days it's acceptable to wear your cow costume three months before Halloween: Cow Appreciation Day (CAD).
What is CAD you ask? Well, it's a campaign by Chick-fil-A to encourage customers to dress in cow attire from "head to hoof" and win a free meal which could be a breakfast, lunch or dinner.
You don't have to completely dress up when you visit any one of the company’s 48 area restaurants if you don't want to. Wearing a cow-spotted scarf, purse, tie, hat or other accessory can also win customers a complimentary entrée.

The DC area restaurants celebrated by launching a Chick-fil-A food truck Monday. The truck serves fresh-to-order lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Customers can follow the food truck on Twitter at @chickfilamobile to see where it will be parked throughout the week, which could be any of the following locations: Union Station, Farragut and Farragut North, Navy Yard, Metro Center and M Street.
