1. SILVER SPRING BLUES FESTIVAL WEEK

Where/When: Kick-Off Party for the Festival starts Friday, June 8 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Pyramid Atlantic, 8230 Georgia Ave, 301-608-9101

Why go: Check out Silver Spring Patch’s Blues Festival Guide including a list of restaurants participating with drink and food specials.

2. HUGGY LOWDOWN AND CHRIS PAUL AT MONTGOMERY COLLEGE

Where/When: Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center on June, 8 at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. The center is located at 7995 Georgia Ave. (on the corner of Georgia Avenue and East-West Hwy). Free parking is available one hour before the show.

Why go: Huggy LowDown and Chris Paul are regular contributors on the Tom Joyner Morning Show and they are bringing their laughs to Silver Spring! The show will be hosted by the hilarious Judge Greg Poole.

Where/When: Join your friends in downtown Silver Spring on Friday on June 8 at Nectar Lounge located at 7926 Georgia Ave. It starts at 6 p.m.

Why go: Take a break and enjoy smooth sounds from local musicians!

Why go: Ayreheart will be live in concert featuring Takoma Park native Audrey Tornblom on vocals.

Where/When: Fenwick Beer and Wine located at 1327 Fenwick Lane on Friday, June 8 between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Why go: This week they have a tasting on four Italian wines. They also just received a new order on gluten free, Estrella Damm Daura.
