Where/When: located at 8641 Colesville Road on Saturday, Feb. 25 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Why go: The culminating event of the Female Voices Festival and further discussing and debating the gender imbalance on stage.

3. AN EVENING WITH THE STARS

Where/When: located at One Veterans Place on Sunday, Feb. 26. It starts at 7 p.m.

Why go: Silver Spring Town Center and the National Center for Children & Families (NCCF) will bring Hollywood's biggest night to downtown Silver Spring. Pamela Brown of ABC7/WJLA-TV and NewsChannel 8 will be hosting this year's event. You will mix and mingle on the Red Carpet, enjoy savor cuisine from around the globe, win exciting prizes and watch the Academy Awards Live on the big screen.

Pricing: Tickets are $25 in advance, $35 at the door.

Where/When: Austin Grill located at 919 Ellsworth Drive on Friday, Feb. 24 at 9 a.m.

Why go: Come and enjoy the sounds of local alternative rock group—3 AM.

Pricing: Free.

5.  FARMER'S MARKET ON ELLSWORTH DRIVE

Where/When: Weekly on Saturdays on Ellsworth Drive and Fenton Street between 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Why Go: To see what's new at the market this spring and add a different flavor to the pot.

Pricing: Price varies at different stands.
