Wheaton, Bethesda Malls Announce Longer Holiday Hours

Some local malls are pulling out all the stops for shoppers (we're looking at you, Westfield Wheaton) while others aren't budging. We've compiled the holiday hours of malls in Montgomery County and one in Columbia, if you feel like hauling it up Route 29. 

Of course, individual store hours may be different, so call ahead if you're looking for a specific business.

—Westfield Wheaton has announced extended hours in the days leading up to Christmas. 

The mall will be open 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20, and 8 a.m. to midnight Dec. 21-23 (Friday to Sunday).

On Christmas Eve, the mall will open even earlier, at 7 a.m., but will also close early, at 8 p.m.

Stores are closed on Christmas Day, which is a Tuesday.

—Westfield Montgomery in Bethesda has been staying open to 11 p.m. since Friday, Dec. 15. 

From Thursday, Dec. 20 to Sunday, Dec. 23, the mall will be open 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

On Christmas Eve, the mall extends hours to 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Montgomery Mall is closed on Christmas Day and reopens at 8 a.m. on Dec. 26, traditionally a busy shopping day. The mall will close at 10 p.m.

—White Flint mall in North Bethesda will operate regular hours, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. until Christmas Eve when hours will be 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. After Christmas, it's back to regular hours.

—The Mall in Columbia is open a bit earlier these days, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. up to Dec. 22.

On Sunday, Dec. 23, hours switch to 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

For Christmas Eve the mall will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

On Dec. 26, the mall will open early for post-Christmas deals. Hours will be 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. 

Regular mall hours, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., resume on Thursday, Dec. 27.
