New Signage Set to be Installed in Whole Foods Market/Stronsider's Parking Lot
Clarified parking rules expected to be posted this week.
As first reported here on , the rules for parking in the lot adjacent to Whole Foods Market, Strosnider's and the other businesses located between Wayne Avenue, Fenton Street and Veterans Plaza has been a source of confusion for shoppers and businesses alike.
In the very near future, officials in downtown will clarify the situation by replacing the existing signs which read "2 Hour Parking While Patronizing Whole Foods/Strosnider's Shopping Center" with new signage stating:
"Wayne Avenue Parking is a free parking lot with a two (2) hour maximum parking limit. If you fail to abide by the maximum time, your vehicle will be towed at your expense."

A phone number leading back to the Downtown Silver Spring Security Office is also listed to assist people who have had their vehicles towed.
Jennifer Nettles, manager of Downtown Silver Spring, expects to receive the signs from a vendor shortly, and hopes to have them posted as soon as this week.
