Preview: Garden Photography Exhibit Set to Inspire

PhotoSynthesis Opening Reception on Friday, April 8.

Framed prints of the winning images of the 5th Annual Washington Gardener Photo Contest will be on display at an art show in downtown Silver Spring. The 17 photos were taken from DC-area gardens

The guests of honor at the reception are the three contest judges and the winning entrants. Iris Posner of Silver Spring, MD, is a winner in two categories – First Place in Garden Views and Third Place in Garden Vignettes. Iris took both of her winning images nearby at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, MD, which serves as her muse and inspiration. 

The opening reception on Friday, April 8 from 6:30-8pm located in the Adams Bank Lobby in the World Building on Georgia Avenue is open to the public and is free to attend. After the opening, the photos are available any time during the normal bank lobby hours (M-F 9am-4pm). The show runs through May 25.

Kathy is working her way through her own long garden to-do list including adding a new beds to grow more flowers from seed for cutting this year. She is the editor of Washington Gardener magazine

Note: Adams Bank has recently switch ownership and just hours before the reception this Friday, may have a new name “Premier Bank” displayed on its signage.
