Report: Fillmore Silver Spring Not Holding Enough Community Events
The music venue is supposed to host 36 community events each year, The Gazette reported.
Halfway into its second year in Silver Spring, The Fillmore has only held one community event, The Gazette reported. According to the agreement the music venue negotiated with Montgomery County government, 36 community events should be held each year.
“When we negotiated the lease for discounted uses, we had it open for that many dates,” said Patrick Lacefield, a spokesman for Montgomery County. “Obviously, it has been fewer dates than expected.”
Last year, The Fillmore held one community event.
