Silver Spring La Madeleine Opens Thursday, April 18
The French-inspired bakery set up shop at Georgia and Wayne avenues.
All the French country-inspired food and ambiance you can stand—right down to the bonjours and mercis from staff members—is coming your way, courtesy La Madeleine's newest restaurant in downtown Silver Spring.
The much-anticipated casual cafe opens Thursday, April 18 at 6:30 a.m. Normal business hours will be 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday. The store stays open until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
The Dallas-based chain of eateries has recently expanded more into the Washington Metro area, opening a location at Tysons Corner last month before completing the Silver Spring location. La Madeleine restaurants in Rockville and Bethesda have been successful for years, store managers said at a preview event Wednesday.

In addition to the store's traditional menu, from the downtown Silver Spring La Madeleine expect a smaller setup with free wi-fi and a laptop cruisers area toward the front of the store; approximately 70 seats inside with an additional 25 seats on the outdoor patio.
La Madeleine is located at 8435 Georgia Ave.
