Silver Spring to be Treated to Advance Screening of Shark Week Program

Now in its 24th year, Discovery Channel’s annual Shark Week programming event will test the waters by offering a sneak peek for Silver Spring residents of the “Great White Invasion,” the program slated to open the week-long event that will also air nationally on Discovery Channel.

Silver Spring residents are invited to the July 29th event to enjoy not only the sneak peek but also free giveaways like Shark Week swag, including shirts, hats and DVDs. And while Chompie will not grace the Discovery Communications building this year, be on the lookout for a Shark Week mascot to circle Veterans Plaza for photo opportunities.
