Silver Spring Welcomes the Stage Burger Lounge

The restaurant is set to open Wednesday, according to the owner.

At a time when some restaurants are closing their doors in Silver Spring, Spiro Gioldasis is preparing to open his third restaurant in the area.

The Stage Burger Lounge definitely sets itself apart from--, and -the other two resturants Gioldasis owns. He is also the General Manager of which his family owns.

Gioldasis says he doesn't see this new restaurant as a risk but rather an opportunity for the taking.

"The Fillmore [Silver Spring] is right there and all people need is a great place to come to," said Gioldasis.

Luis Flores is joining Gioldasis in this restaurant venture. Flores was the Sous Chef at Mrs. K's Tollhouse for about 15 years and is excited about his co-ownership in The Stage Burger Lounge.

"The opportunity showed itself and we went for it," Flores said.

A few of the menu items by Flores will feature kids burgers priced at $4.25 and a bison truffle brie burger priced between $6.89 to $9.99.

The new burger lounge located at 8624 Colesville Road is set to open its doors Wednesday evening exclusively for family and will be open to the public on Thursday, March 1 in time for lunch.
